The awareness that grew out of dealing with personal health issues motivated Shannon to help others find their own way to living a healthy life. The focus of her seminars and her practice is balance. There are many different facets that come together to make up health. When diet, physical activity, stress level, career satisfaction and the quality of personal relationships are balanced and rewarding – vibrant health results. It is Shannon’s mission to inspire as many people as possible to create vibrant health in their own lives.
Shannon is a Holistic Health Counselor (CHC) certified by The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Columbia University Teacher’s College and the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). She also attended The Ohio State University where she graduated with a BA in English, before she went on to study at Tom Brown’s Tracking, Nature and Wilderness Survival School where she spent a year and a half in the Caretaker Program, living primitively and studying survival skills. She now lives in Northeastern Ohio with her family. She has her own health counseling practice, conducting seminars and counseling both individuals and groups. She is an avid cook, reader and nature lover. She also practices yoga and runs in her spare time.
