SUGAR ADDICTION: Do you
want to know why you crave sugar every day at the
same time? Or why you seem to have swings in your
energy level throughout the day? If so, this
class is for you. Class discussion will include
alternative sweeteners, the energetics of sugar
cravings and tips for dealing with cravings. This
class will give you the tools to understand your
own need for sugar and ideas to help you
rebalance.

EATING FOR ENERGY: So
many of us suffer from erratic energy levels.
Knowing that the things that we eat have the
ability to either increase or decrease our energy
and vitality can be life-changing knowledge. This
class will discuss a variety of ways to increase
your energy through simple diet and lifestyle
changes.

HEALTHY SHOPPING:
Shopping for healthy food can seem overwhelming
with so much mass-marketing and conflicting
information. This class will discuss the politics
of food, how to navigate the grocery store,
organic vs. non-organic and local health food
options. If you are working toward eating a
healthy diet, this class will provide valuable
information to support your healthy choices.

HEALTHY EATING ON THE
GO: The busier we are, the more important it is
that we make choices that support our health. At
the same time, the busier we are, the harder it
is to take the time to make healthy choices. This
class will discuss how to integrate healthy,
whole food choices into our busy lives. Class
will include time saving cooking tips, simple
whole food choices and quick-fix recipes.

HEALTH, NUTRITION AND
SPIRITUALITY: This class is a basic overview of
health and nutrition in relation to
spirituality. We will discuss a few of the
traditional links between health and spirituality
and their basic connection. The program will
focus on creating balance and making conscious
dietary choices, with a series of practical tips
for integrating more mindful choices into your
daily life. This class includes a body awareness
meditation.

INTUITIVE NUTRITION:
Break away from rigid dietary restrictions and
discover your own personal path to vibrant
health. This class will deconstruct the
modern diet dilemma and in its place, give you
the tools to create a sustainable, life-long way
of eating. This class is designed for those
who want to cultivate a deeper understanding of
their own individual dietary needs and work
toward creating more flexibility and balance in
their "food life."

SPRING DETOX: There are
as many fad detox plans as there are fad diets.
This class will teach how to detoxify your body
gently, without taxing your system or spending
lots of money on supplements. We will discuss
reasons to cleanse and how a gentle cleanse can
help your body’s systems function optimally.

WILD NUTRITION: The
natural landscapes all around us offer up a
bounty of delicious and nutritious foods. This
class is a basic introduction to some of our most
predominant local wild edibles. We will discuss
basic identification, principles of safe &
ethical gathering, nutritional benefits and
simple preparation methods. Class will include a
plant walk and an opportunity to taste several
wild edible preparations.

HOLISTIC NUTRITION AND
SELF-CARE IN PREGNANCY: This class will address
mind and body self-care, with a focus on
nutrition. We will discuss how to achieve a
balanced diet, how to use your cravings as a
guide to help you meet your physiological needs,
and some basic methods of preparation for whole
grains and leafy green vegetables. We will
also address lifestyle and the impact that our
lifestyle can have on our ability to make healthy
choices.

ORGANIC, LOCAL FOOD:
This class is a basic introduction to the health
and economic benefits of buying organic food from
local producers. In the current food
climate of big business producers, sourcing
locally can bring an abundance of health and
flavor to your dinner table. There
are many resources, right here in North Eastern
Ohio and I will provide each student with a local
food resource guide. If you want to support
local farmers, lower your grocery bill and eat
fresh, delicious food, this is the class for
you!
